I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

─── What We Review
Everything Your Micro-Entity Company Is Required to Get Right
Most compliance problems are not deliberate. They come from a missed deadline, an accounts template that no longer matches FRS 105, or dividends taken without the paperwork to support them. Our review covers each area in turn and reports back in plain English.
FRS 105 Balance Sheet
A statutory balance sheet prepared to the FRS 105 format, using the reduced disclosure the micro-entities regime allows.
Profit & Loss Account
A profit and loss account prepared for your own records and for your Corporation Tax computation, without public filing.
Required Notes & Disclosures
Preparation of the notes and disclosures required for the company's accounts under the applicable reporting requirements.
Corporation Tax Support
Separate Corporation Tax support can be provided where included in the agreed service. The Corporation Tax calculation is governed by tax rules rather than FRS 105.
Companies House Filing
Your FRS 105 accounts filed with Companies House in the correct format, before your accounts filing deadline.
Director Copy Pack
A full signed copy of your accounts and tax return, ready for your bank, mortgage lender or accountant records.

FRS 105 is the UK financial reporting standard for micro-entities. It sets out how a qualifying company that has chosen the micro-entities regime prepares and presents its annual financial statements. It is deliberately the least complex option available: accounts are prepared on a historical cost basis, with no revaluations, no fair value accounting and no deferred tax, and the disclosure notes are limited to a small prescribed set. It is an accounting standard, not a tax rule and not a filing deadline in itself.
FRS 105 is available to companies that qualify for the UK micro-entities regime and then choose to apply it. For accounting periods beginning on or after 6 April 2025, a company generally needs to meet at least 2 of 3 applicable conditions: turnover of no more than £1 million, a balance sheet total of no more than £500,000, and an average of no more than 10 employees. Meeting those numbers is not the only test — other eligibility rules and exclusions apply, and eligibility is assessed against the relevant periods, so a company can move in or out of the regime over time.
No. The micro-entities regime is an option, not an obligation. A company that qualifies for it can choose to apply the regime and use FRS 105, or it can prepare its accounts under FRS 102 instead. If you adopt FRS 105, you should apply it consistently, and if you later stop qualifying — or decide the regime no longer suits you — you may need to move to a different framework. That is a decision worth reviewing each year rather than assuming it stays the same.
FRS 105 is written specifically for micro-entities and is the simpler of the two. FRS 102, including Section 1A for small entities, is used by companies that do not qualify for the micro-entities regime or choose not to apply it. In practice the differences show up in measurement and disclosure: FRS 105 works on a historical cost basis with far fewer notes, while FRS 102 allows or requires more accounting options and asks for more detail. Choosing between them affects how your figures and notes look, not just how long the document is.
Yes. If your company is required to file annual accounts, your FRS 105 Micro Entity Accounts form the basis of what you file, although as a micro-entity you can generally file a simplified version containing the balance sheet and limited notes rather than the full set prepared for the members. Filing accounts with Companies House is a separate obligation from your tax filings and carries its own deadline. It is worth checking the current requirements each year, because Companies House filing rules have been changing.
Yes, and this is a common point of confusion. FRS 105 accounts are the financial statements prepared under the micro-entities regime. A CT600 is the Corporation Tax Return submitted to HMRC, which starts from your accounts figures but then applies tax rules — adjustments, capital allowances, disallowable expenses and so on — that are not part of the accounting framework. The two are prepared for different bodies, follow different rules, and are submitted separately, even though the numbers are related.
Typically we need your company and share capital details, records of income and expenditure for the period, bank statements, sales and purchase invoices, payroll or employee information, details of assets such as equipment or vehicles, any stock or work in progress, and details of loans or directors' balances. If accounts have been prepared before, a copy of the previous set helps with consistency. The cleaner and more complete your records, the smoother the preparation — and if your bookkeeping needs tidying first, that can usually be arranged.
Companies House has been phasing in changes under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, including a move towards filing accounts through commercial software rather than a web form or paper, alongside changes to what small and micro-entity companies are expected to file. The direction of travel is more detailed filing rather than less, so it is worth reviewing your reporting approach before your next set of accounts is due. Because the detail and timing have been confirmed in stages, we will talk you through the current position as it applies to your company rather than relying on outdated assumptions.
