I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

I had a positive experience with Accotax. The work was completed promptly, my tax return was successfully filed, and I received a refund of overpaid tax. I found the cooperation efficient and helpful. Special thanks to Muhammad Saifullah for his assistance.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK companies need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months, even if they are dormant, not trading, or have had no changes to report. A confirmation statement simply confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is correct — it is not a set of annual accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return.
- Private limited companies that are actively trading
- Dormant companies, including those with no accounting transactions
- Non-trading companies that are resting between periods of activity
- Companies where directors, shareholders or people with significant control have changed
- Companies whose registered office address or SIC codes need checking or updating
- Newly incorporated companies approaching their first review period
- Companies that have received a reminder from Companies House about a confirmation statement

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement (often called a CS01) is a filing made at Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It is a check on the public register, not a financial report — accounts and a Corporation Tax Return are entirely separate filings with their own deadlines and purposes.
- Registered office address, company name and company number
- Directors, company secretary (where applicable) and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) and the details held on the PSC register
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- The statement of lawful purpose and other required declarations
- The confirmation date and review period shown on your Companies House record

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a document filed at Companies House that confirms the information the register holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It covers details such as the registered office, directors, shareholders, people with significant control and SIC codes. It is not a financial document, so it is not a replacement for annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return.
Most UK companies, including dormant and non-trading companies, generally need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months. Being quiet on the trading front does not normally remove the requirement. A small number of companies have different circumstances, and the review period dates and requirements specific to your company are shown on your Companies House record.
A company normally has to file at least one confirmation statement every 12 months, at the end of each review period. The deadline that applies to your company is set out on your Companies House record rather than being tied to your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline. Companies can also file additional confirmation statements within a review period when information changes and they want the register updated promptly.
Yes. You can file more than one confirmation statement during a review period if your company's details change, which lets you bring the register up to date without waiting for the next scheduled statement. It is worth remembering that some changes, such as an appointment or resignation of a director or a change of registered office, may need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than simply noted on the confirmation statement.
In most cases, yes. A dormant company is still a registered company, so it generally still needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even where nothing has changed and no transactions have taken place. Dormant companies may also have other filing obligations depending on their circumstances, so it is worth checking what applies to your company rather than assuming dormancy covers everything.
A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is correct, while annual accounts are the financial statements that report your company's position and performance for an accounting period. They are separate filings with separate deadlines and separate purposes, and completing one does not satisfy the other. A confirmation statement is also completely different from a Corporation Tax Return (CT600), which is submitted to HMRC to report Corporation Tax.
Filing a confirmation statement is a legal requirement, and failing to file can lead to Companies House taking action against the company, which may include starting the process to strike the company off the register. It also means the public register can become misleading, which can cause problems with banks, customers and suppliers. If a filing has been missed, it is best to sort it out as quickly as possible and to take advice on your company's position.
We start by reviewing what Companies House currently holds for your company, then confirm with you whether anything needs updating — directors, shareholders, people with significant control, the registered office or SIC codes. Where changes have to be reported separately, we can handle those Companies House information updates as well, before preparing and submitting your CS01. To get started, simply get in touch with Micro Entity Accounts and we will take it from there.
