I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.

I had a positive experience with Accotax. The work was completed promptly, my tax return was successfully filed, and I received a refund of overpaid tax. I found the cooperation efficient and helpful. Special thanks to Muhammad Saifullah for his assistance.

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Crickhowell?

If your company is registered at Companies House, it will almost certainly need a confirmation statement — and that includes companies in Crickhowell that are dormant, not trading, or have nothing new to report. The confirmation statement simply confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate; it is not the same as filing annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return.

  • Limited companies registered in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland
  • Dormant and non-trading companies, which are generally still required to file
  • Companies with changes to report, such as a new director or registered office
  • Companies with no changes at all during the review period
  • Directors and secretaries responsible for keeping Companies House records up to date
  • Newly incorporated companies approaching the end of their first review period
  • Companies that have already missed a statement and need to get back on track

What Is a Confirmation Statement, and What Does It Do?

A confirmation statement — often called by its form name, CS01 — is a statutory filing that confirms the information Companies House already holds about your company is correct and up to date as at your confirmation date. It is a separate filing from your statutory annual accounts and from your Corporation Tax Return (CT600), and filing one does not satisfy those other obligations.

  • Registered office address and company name
  • Details of directors, secretaries and their service addresses
  • Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
  • People with significant control (PSCs) and their registrable details
  • Standard industrial classification (SIC) code and principal business activity
  • Confirmation that the company has complied with its obligation to file accounts, and any applicable exemption such as audit exemption
  • Confirmation of the company's legal status and any change of name during the period

─── FAQs

Your Questions, Answered

Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.

A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information they hold about your company is accurate and up to date as at a specific date. It is sometimes referred to as a CS01, which is the form used for the submission. Importantly, the confirmation statement is not a financial document — it does not report your profits, turnover or tax position. Its purpose is simply to keep the public register correct, which matters for directors, shareholders, lenders and anyone else who relies on the register. Filing a confirmation statement does not mean your company is compliant with every Companies House or tax obligation; annual accounts, Corporation Tax Returns and other filings are separate requirements.

In most cases, yes. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement. Companies House still needs to know that the details it holds — directors, registered office, shareholders, people with significant control — remain correct. A dormant company generally has fewer changes to report, but the confirmation statement itself is still expected. It is worth remembering that dormancy is treated differently for tax purposes, so the fact that no Corporation Tax Return or accounts activity is expected does not automatically mean no confirmation statement is due.

UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed and even if the company is dormant or not trading. Companies House works on a review period, which usually runs for 12 months from the date of your last statement or from incorporation. Once that review period ends, there is a short statutory window in which to file, so it is worth diarising the date well in advance. Your review period is not the same as your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline, and the dates often fall at different times of the year, which is a common source of confusion.

The confirmation statement is a chance to check that everything Companies House holds is still correct. That typically includes your registered office address, the company name, directors and secretaries and their service addresses, shareholders and the statement of capital, people with significant control, and your SIC code or principal business activity. Where something needs to change, it is usually reported to Companies House separately — for example, a change of director or registered office is notified through its own form rather than waiting for the confirmation statement. A good confirmation statement service will flag those updates for you so nothing is missed.

Yes. A company can choose to file more than one confirmation statement during a review period, which resets the 12-month clock from the new confirmation date. This is sometimes useful when significant information has changed and the directors want the register to reflect it promptly. Some changes, however, must be reported to Companies House separately and cannot simply be bundled into the confirmation statement, so it is worth checking what applies to your circumstances before deciding to file early.

They are two completely different filings with different purposes. A confirmation statement confirms that the information on the Companies House register is accurate. Annual accounts, by contrast, report the financial position and performance of the company for an accounting period and follow a statutory format. Both are usually required, and they are filed separately. A confirmation statement does not include figures, and you cannot use it in place of accounts. Likewise, filing your accounts does not remove the need for a confirmation statement — the two deadlines often fall at different points in the year.

No. A Corporation Tax Return (often called a CT600) is filed with HMRC and reports your company's taxable profits and calculates the Corporation Tax due. A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and contains no tax or profit information at all. They are handled by two different government bodies, on two different deadlines, and the confirmation statement does not replace a Corporation Tax Return in any way. If your company is required to file a CT600, that obligation remains entirely separate from your Confirmation Statement Filing.

Companies House expects the confirmation statement to be filed within the filing window that follows the end of the review period. If it is not filed, the company falls into default with Companies House, and continued failure can ultimately put the company at risk of being struck off the register. Directors also have a responsibility to keep the register accurate, so it is not something to leave indefinitely. Professional Confirmation Statement Filing helps by tracking your review period, checking your details against the register, preparing and submitting the CS01, and advising on any separate updates that need to be made. In Crickhowell and across the UK, that means fewer surprises, fewer last-minute rushes, and a clear record of what has been filed and when.
