I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Camberley?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement, generally at least once every 12 months, even if the company is dormant, not trading, or has had no changes to report. A confirmation statement is simply a way of confirming that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date — it is not the same as filing annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return, and it does not replace those obligations.
- Active limited companies trading in Camberley and across the UK
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or receiving income
- Non-trading companies that are between projects or winding down activity
- Companies limited by guarantee and other incorporated entities that must file at Companies House
- Companies whose directors, shareholders, share capital or registered office details have changed
- Businesses that have never filed a confirmation statement before and are unsure where to start
- Company directors who would rather have a professional service handle the submission

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement — often called a CS01 — is a document filed with Companies House to confirm that the information held on the public register about your company is correct as at a specific date. It is a check-and-confirm exercise rather than a full set of accounts, and it exists so that the register stays reliable for anyone who relies on it, including customers, lenders and other businesses.
- Registered office address and single alternative inspection location (SAIL) details if applicable
- Company name, registered number and company type
- Details of directors and company secretary, including appointments and resignations
- Shareholder details, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSCs) and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- Whether the company is trading, dormant or exempt from certain filing requirements
- Confirmation that the information above is accurate on the confirmation statement date — separate from annual accounts and a Corporation Tax Return

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made at Companies House that confirms the information the register holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at a particular date. It is sometimes referred to as form CS01. It records details such as your registered office, directors, shareholders, share capital and people with significant control. It is not a set of annual accounts and it is not a tax return — it is a separate, standalone confirmation of your company information.
In general, UK companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed during that period. This normally applies whether the company is actively trading, dormant, or not currently trading at all. If you are unsure whether the requirement applies to your particular company structure, for example a company limited by guarantee or a company with unusual share arrangements, it is worth checking your position based on your specific circumstances.
The usual pattern is at least once every 12 months, based on your company's review period rather than its accounting period. Importantly, you can file more than one confirmation statement within a review period if your company information changes and you want the register updated sooner. Filing a confirmation statement does not follow the same rhythm as your annual accounts deadline, so it is worth treating them as two separate diary dates.
Before filing, it is sensible to review the registered office address, director and secretary details, shareholder information, share capital and the statement of capital, your SIC codes, and the details of any people with significant control. If any of those have changed, the confirmation statement gives you a chance to bring the register up to date. Bear in mind that some changes may need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than simply being noted on the confirmation statement.
Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement. A dormant company may still have a registered office, directors and shareholders recorded at Companies House, and the register needs to reflect those accurately. Dormancy usually affects your accounts and tax position, so if you are unsure how it applies to your filing obligations, it is best to look at your company's specific circumstances rather than assuming the confirmation statement can be skipped.
A confirmation statement confirms that the information on the Companies House register is accurate. Annual accounts, by contrast, report on the company's financial position and performance for an accounting period and must be prepared in the required format for the company's size and type. They are separate filings with separate purposes, and completing one does not satisfy the other. It is also worth noting that preparing accounts and confirming register information are two different exercises entirely.
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing about company information. A Corporation Tax Return, often called a CT600, is a submission made to HMRC about the company's taxable profits and tax position for an accounting period. One is about the public register; the other is about tax. Filing a confirmation statement does not deal with your Corporation Tax Return, and it does not make your company compliant with every Companies House or tax obligation you may have.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company is not meeting its Companies House filing obligation, and the company and its directors can face consequences. Companies House may take action, and an overdue confirmation statement can affect the company's standing and cause problems when dealing with banks, lenders or other parties who check the register. Rather than waiting to see what happens, it is generally better to bring the filing up to date as soon as possible.
With a professional service, you provide or confirm the details of your company, and the filing is prepared and submitted to Companies House on your behalf. At Micro Entity Accounts, we review the information held on the register, highlight anything that looks out of date, and handle the confirmation statement submission so you have a clear record of what was filed and when. If any underlying changes need to be reported separately first, we can point that out rather than treating the confirmation statement as a catch-all.
Getting started is straightforward — simply get in touch and tell us a little about your company, including whether it is active, dormant or not trading, and whether you are aware of any changes to your directors, shareholders, registered office or share capital. From there, we can confirm what is needed for your confirmation statement and take the filing forward. If you also need help with related Companies House information updates, that can typically be handled at the same time.
