I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing, whether they are trading actively, dormant, or simply not trading at the moment. Being dormant does not normally remove the requirement, and the confirmation statement is not the same thing as your annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return.
- Active UK limited companies that are trading
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading
- Non-trading companies that have paused activity
- Limited liability partnerships and similar incorporated entities
- Companies whose directors, shareholders or registered office details have changed
- Companies with no changes at all — the statement still confirms the record is correct

What Is a Confirmation Statement and Why Does Companies House Need One?
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing that confirms the information held on the public register about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It is a check of the record, not a set of financial figures, which is why it sits separately from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and principal business address details
- Company directors, secretaries and their recorded particulars
- Shareholders, share capital and how shares are held
- People with Significant Control (PSC) information
- Statement of company activities (SIC codes) and company name details
- Confirmation that the information held is correct — or notification of what has changed
- Certain changes, such as a change of registered office or a new director, generally need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than waiting for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held on the public register about your company is accurate and up to date as at a particular date. It covers things such as your registered office address, directors, shareholders, share capital and People with Significant Control. It is a confirmation of the record rather than a financial document, so it does not contain turnover, profit or tax figures. Its purpose is to keep the public register reliable and current.
Most UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships need to file one, and the requirement generally applies even when a company is dormant or not trading. Whether a particular company must file depends on its circumstances and the records Companies House holds, so it is worth checking your company's filing history and next confirmation date. If you are unsure whether your company has an outstanding statement, a professional service can review the position for you.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, calculated from the date the last one was filed. That 12-month cycle is separate from your accounting period and your annual accounts deadline, so the two dates should not be confused. You can also file more than one confirmation statement within a review period when information changes, and certain changes need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than waiting for the next statement.
Before submitting your CS01 filing, it is worth checking that your registered office address is correct, that your list of directors and secretaries is complete, and that your shareholder details and share capital are accurately recorded. You should also review your People with Significant Control information and your statement of company activities. If something has changed, it is usually best to correct the register first so the confirmation statement confirms accurate information.
Yes, in most cases. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the obligation to file a confirmation statement, because the statement is about the company's details on the register rather than its trading activity or financial performance. A dormant company still has directors, shareholders and a registered office, and Companies House still needs those details confirmed. Dormancy can, however, affect what you include in your statutory accounts, which is a separate matter.
A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is correct, while annual accounts report your company's financial position and performance for an accounting period. They are prepared on different cycles, serve different purposes and are filed as separate submissions. Filing one does not satisfy the requirement to file the other, and neither should be treated as a substitute for the other.
A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and deals with company record information. A Corporation Tax Return, often referred to as a CT600, goes to HMRC and reports your company's taxable profits and calculates the Corporation Tax due. They are separate filings with separate recipients, and completing a confirmation statement does not deal with your Corporation Tax obligations. Likewise, filing a CT600 does not update or confirm your Companies House record.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the Companies House record will not reflect the current position of your company, and Companies House can take action in relation to overdue filings. It is always better to bring the record up to date promptly. Professional Confirmation Statement Filing through Micro Entity Accounts means the statement is prepared and submitted on your behalf, with our team checking the details, flagging anything that needs reporting separately, and handling the confirmation statement submission so you have one less deadline to track.
