I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months, whether they are actively trading, sitting dormant, or simply not trading at the moment. A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date — it is not the same as filing annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return, and it does not replace either of them.
- Active trading companies that must confirm their Companies House record each year
- Dormant companies, which normally still have a confirmation statement due
- Non-trading companies and those paused between contracts or restructuring
- Companies where directors, shareholders or people with significant control have changed
- Newly incorporated companies approaching the end of their first review period
- Limited liability partnerships and other entities with a Companies House filing obligation

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Actually Confirm?
A confirmation statement — often called a CS01 — is the document a company uses to confirm that the information Companies House holds about it is accurate and up to date. It is a check-and-confirm exercise rather than a full set of accounts, and it is a separate filing from statutory annual accounts and from a Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and the company name as held on the register
- Director and company secretary details, including appointments and resignations
- Shareholder information, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) information and the nature of their control
- Registered email address and other contact details recorded at Companies House
- Standard industrial classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- Certain changes must be reported separately — for example a change of registered office or a new director — rather than being left until the confirmation statement is due

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing that confirms the information held about your company on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is sometimes called a CS01. Completing it means checking details such as your registered office address, directors, shareholders, share capital and people with significant control, then confirming those details are correct or updating them. It is not a set of accounts and it is not a tax return.
Most companies registered in the UK need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, and this normally applies whether the company is trading, not trading, or dormant. If you run a limited company, an LLP or a similar entity registered at Companies House, you should assume a confirmation statement is due unless you have checked your position. If you are unsure whether your company is in its review period, we can look at the register and confirm what is outstanding.
A company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, counted from the date of its last statement or from incorporation. Importantly, a company can file more than one confirmation statement during a review period if information changes and the directors want the register updated sooner. That is why the confirmation statement deadline is separate from your accounting period and your annual accounts deadline — they run on different clocks and should not be confused.
The filing is a confirmation that the register is correct, so the review covers the registered office address, the company name, director and secretary details, shareholder information, share capital and the statement of capital, people with significant control, SIC codes and the registered email address. Some changes cannot simply be confirmed on the confirmation statement — for example a change of registered office, a new director appointment or an allotment of shares usually needs to be reported to Companies House separately, and it is best to deal with those quickly rather than waiting.
Generally yes. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the statement is about the accuracy of the company information on the register rather than about trading activity or profit. A dormant company may have fewer changes to report, but the confirmation statement itself is usually still due each review period. Dormancy can, however, affect what you file elsewhere, such as accounts or tax returns, so it is worth checking your overall position.
No — these are three separate filings with different purposes. The confirmation statement confirms that Companies House holds accurate company information. Statutory annual accounts report the company's financial position and performance for an accounting period, and are filed at Companies House. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is filed with HMRC to report the company's taxable profits. Filing one does not satisfy the others, and each has its own deadline based on the company's own dates.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company falls behind on its Companies House obligations, and Companies House can take action, which in serious cases may include steps to strike the company off the register. Directors also have a duty to keep the register accurate, so letting it drift can create problems later when you need to open a bank account, raise finance or sell the business. The exact consequences depend on the circumstances, so it is better to bring the filing up to date promptly rather than wait.
We start by reviewing what Companies House currently holds for your company, then confirm with you which details are still correct and which need changing. Where a change needs a separate notification — a new director, a moved registered office or a share allotment, for example — we can handle those updates as well, then complete the confirmation statement submission within your review period. You get clear communication at each stage and a fixed-fee approach, so there are no surprises and no chasing paperwork at the last minute.
