I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which Companies in Alness Need to File a Confirmation Statement?
Most UK companies must deliver a confirmation statement to Companies House, and being dormant, quiet or not currently trading does not normally remove that requirement. The confirmation statement simply confirms that the information on the public register is correct — it is a separate filing from your annual accounts and from any Corporation Tax Return.
- Active companies that trade and want their register details confirmed each year
- Dormant companies, which generally still need to file even with no transactions
- Non-trading companies, including those with no income in the review period
- Companies whose directors, shareholders, registered office or PSC details have changed
- Limited liability partnerships and other entities that Companies House treats as having a confirmation statement duty
- Newly incorporated companies, once their first review period comes to an end

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement is the document a company delivers to Companies House to confirm that the information held about it on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial document: there are no turnover figures, profit calculations or tax details to provide, and it does not replace your statutory accounts or your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and the company's single alternative inspection location, where one is used
- Directors, company secretary (where appointed) and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSCs) and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- Confirmation that the company is exempt from audit, where that exemption applies
- A note that certain changes — such as appointing a director or issuing shares — must be reported to Companies House separately, rather than only being mentioned on the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is the filing a UK company delivers to Companies House to confirm that the information held about it on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial filing — you do not report turnover, profit or tax. Instead, you review the company's registered details, confirm they are correct or update them, and deliver the statement. Where something has changed, Companies House may also need to be notified through a separate form, such as a director appointment or a change of registered office.
Most UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships must deliver a confirmation statement, whether they are trading actively, dormant or simply not doing much at all. The duty generally rests with the company itself, and it applies even where no accounts are due or no tax is payable. If you are unsure whether your particular entity or set of circumstances creates a filing duty, it is worth checking with a professional before deciding not to file.
A company generally needs to deliver a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, calculated from its own review period rather than the tax year or its accounting period. The statement is normally expected within 14 days of the end of that review period. A company can also file more than one confirmation statement during a single review period if its information changes and it wants the register updated sooner, though only the standard fee applies once a year in most cases.
You are confirming the register entry as a whole, so it is worth reviewing the registered office address, the directors and company secretary, shareholder details, the statement of capital and shareholdings, the people with significant control (PSCs) and their nature of control, and the SIC codes that describe the company's activities. Changes to some of these details have to be reported to Companies House separately and promptly, rather than being saved up for the next confirmation statement.
Yes — dormancy or a lack of trading activity does not normally remove the requirement to deliver a confirmation statement. A dormant company still has a register entry, directors, shareholders and a registered office, and Companies House still expects that information to be confirmed at least once every 12 months. Many owners assume that filing nothing means there is nothing to do, which is a common reason statements end up overdue.
They are two entirely separate filings with different purposes. A confirmation statement confirms that Companies House holds accurate information about the company — its officers, shareholders and address. Annual accounts, by contrast, report the company's financial position and performance for an accounting period and are filed under the accounts regime, even for dormant companies in some form. Filing one does not satisfy the other, and their deadlines are calculated differently.
A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and deals with company information only. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) goes to HMRC and deals with taxable profits, allowances and the tax due for an accounting period. Paying or filing one has no effect on the other, and a company can owe a CT600 filing even where its confirmation statement is fully up to date, as well as the other way round.
If a confirmation statement is not delivered, Companies House records that the filing is overdue and may take action, which can eventually include starting the process to strike the company off the register. It is not something that resolves itself, and leaving it can complicate banking, finance applications and future filings. Professional Confirmation Statement Filing takes the guesswork out of it: your details are reviewed with you, any needed Companies House information updates are identified, the CS01 filing is prepared and submitted, and you are kept informed along the way. To get started, simply share your company number and current details and we will confirm what needs to be checked and when your next statement is expected.
