I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK companies — whether they are busy trading, quiet, dormant or not currently trading — generally need to file a confirmation statement with Companies House at least once every 12 months. A confirmation statement simply confirms that the information Companies House already holds about your company is correct, and it is a separate filing from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- Private limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or receiving income
- Non-trading and newly incorporated companies
- Companies limited by guarantee
- Companies with a single director and shareholder
- Limited liability partnerships where a confirmation statement is due

What Is a Confirmation Statement and Why Does It Matter?
A confirmation statement is a filing made at Companies House to confirm that the information held on the public register about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial filing, and it does not report profit, tax or trading activity. UK companies generally need to file one at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed — confirming that the record is still correct is the purpose of the filing.
- Registered office address and company name
- Directors, secretaries and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) information
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes and principal business activity
- Company officers' details and the company's registered number
- Note that certain changes may need to be reported separately to Companies House rather than waiting for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information the register holds about your company is accurate and up to date. It covers things such as your registered office address, directors, shareholders, share capital, people with significant control and your business activity codes. It is a confirmation of existing information rather than a set of figures, which is why it looks nothing like a set of accounts.
If you run a company registered at Companies House — whether it is a private limited company, a company limited by guarantee, or a limited liability partnership where a confirmation statement is due — you will generally need to file one. This applies to companies based in Abberley in the same way as anywhere else in the UK. If you are unsure whether your company has an active requirement, we can check your Companies House record and confirm the position before filing.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. Companies House tracks this using a review period, and the due date for your next filing is shown on your company record. Some companies choose to file sooner than required, particularly where information has changed and they want the public register to reflect it. We can keep an eye on your review period and let you know when your next confirmation statement is coming up.
Yes. You can file more than one confirmation statement within the same review period, and doing so can be useful if company details change and you want the register to be accurate straight away. That said, certain changes — such as appointing or resigning a director, or changing your registered office — generally need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than being dealt with only through the confirmation statement. We can advise on which route applies to your situation.
Yes, in most cases. Being dormant or not currently trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement. It is a confirmation of the company's details on the register, not a report of profit or trading activity, so a company with no income can still have a filing obligation. A dormant company may have fewer things to change, but the confirmation itself is usually still required.
No — they are three separate filings. A confirmation statement confirms the company information held by Companies House. Annual accounts are the statutory financial statements filed for the company. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is submitted to HMRC to report profits and calculate Corporation Tax. Filing a confirmation statement does not replace your accounts or your CT600, and it does not deal with VAT Returns either. It also does not mean every Companies House or tax obligation has been met.
Before filing, it is worth checking your registered office address, directors and secretaries, shareholders and share capital, people with significant control, and your SIC codes. If any of these have changed, the relevant update may need to be reported to Companies House as well as confirmed. We review your details as part of our Confirmation Statement Filing service, so anything that looks out of date is flagged rather than overlooked.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, Companies House can take enforcement action, which may include starting the process to strike the company off the register. It is far easier to keep the filing up to date than to resolve the consequences of missing it. Getting started is simple: share your company details with us, we will review your Companies House information, prepare the confirmation statement and file it on your behalf.
