I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships need to deliver a confirmation statement to Companies House at least once every 12 months, even if the company is dormant, not trading, or has had no changes during the review period. The confirmation statement is not a set of accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return — it simply confirms that the information Companies House already holds is accurate and up to date.
- Active limited companies and limited liability partnerships trading in Mossley and across the UK
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or receiving income
- Non-trading companies that are between projects or temporarily inactive
- Companies limited by shares or by guarantee that are registered at Companies House
- Directors who have moved address, appointed or resigned, or changed their details
- Businesses that have issued shares, transferred shares, or changed their shareholder register

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement — often referred to as a CS01 filing — is the document a company uses to confirm that the information Companies House holds about it is accurate and up to date. It is a check-and-confirm exercise rather than a full re-report of everything your company has ever done, and it is a completely separate filing from your statutory annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and single alternative inspection location (SAIL) address where applicable
- Company name, company number, and the type of company registered
- Details of directors, secretaries, and any appointments or resignations
- Shareholder information, including shares issued, transfers, and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) details and the PSC register information
- Standard industrial classification (SIC) code and the nature of the company's business
- Confirmation that the company is exempt from keeping certain registers, where that applies

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date. It is sometimes called a CS01, which is the reference number of the form used. It is not a financial document — it does not contain profit figures, turnover, or tax calculations. Think of it as an annual (or more frequent) check that your company's public record reflects reality.
Most UK limited companies and limited liability partnerships need to file one, including companies that are dormant, not trading, or have had no activity at all during the period. The requirement generally applies regardless of whether the company made any money. If you are unsure whether your particular company structure falls within the requirement, it is worth checking your specific circumstances rather than assuming you are exempt.
A company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, counted from the date of the last statement or from incorporation. This is separate from your accounting period and separate from your annual accounts deadline, so the dates may not line up with what you might expect. Companies can also file more than one confirmation statement within a review period when information changes and they want the public record updated sooner.
Yes, in most cases. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the obligation to file a confirmation statement, because the filing is about the accuracy of the company's registered information rather than about trading activity or profit. A dormant company may still have directors, shareholders, and a registered office, and Companies House still needs those details confirmed.
A confirmation statement confirms that your company's registered details are correct. Annual accounts are the financial statements that show your company's financial position and performance for the accounting period. They are prepared separately, filed separately, and follow different rules and deadlines. Filing a confirmation statement does not satisfy the requirement to file accounts, and filing accounts does not satisfy the requirement to file a confirmation statement.
A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and deals with company information. A Corporation Tax Return (often referred to as a CT600) goes to HMRC and deals with the company's taxable profits and tax liability. They serve entirely different purposes and are handled by different bodies, so one does not replace the other. Neither one makes a company compliant with every other filing or tax obligation it may have.
If a confirmation statement is not filed when it is due, Companies House can treat the company as being in default, and continued failure can ultimately lead to the company being struck off the register. The exact consequences depend on the circumstances and on how long the position is left unresolved, so it is far better to deal with a missed or upcoming filing promptly than to wait. Getting help early usually means a simpler route back to good standing.
We review the information currently held at Companies House, check it against what you tell us, highlight anything that looks out of date, and prepare the confirmation statement for submission. Where a change needs to be reported separately — for example a change to directors, share capital, or people with significant control — we can help with the relevant Companies House information updates alongside the confirmation statement. You stay informed throughout, without having to work through the paperwork yourself.
Simply get in touch and tell us about your company, its current details, and when your confirmation statement is next due. We will explain what is needed, confirm how our confirmation statement service works, and outline the clear, transparent pricing involved before anything is filed. From there, we can take care of the confirmation statement submission and any related updates to your Companies House record.
