I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
If your company is registered at Companies House, it will almost certainly need to file a confirmation statement — and that includes companies that are dormant, not trading, or simply sitting quietly between contracts. The confirmation statement exists to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a set of accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return; it is a separate filing with its own purpose.
- Limited companies registered in England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading
- Non-trading companies that are between projects or being wound down
- Limited liability partnerships (LLPs) and public limited companies
- Companies whose details have changed during the year, such as directors, shareholders or the registered office
- Note: unincorporated businesses such as sole traders and ordinary partnerships are not registered at Companies House, so they do not file a confirmation statement

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement (often referred to as form CS01) is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held on the public register about your company is accurate and up to date. It is a snapshot check, not a financial document — a confirmation statement is completely separate from your annual accounts and from your Corporation Tax Return, and it does not replace either of them.
- The company's registered office address and registered email address where applicable
- The names and details of the company's directors, and the company secretary where one is appointed
- Shareholder details, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSCs) and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- A statement confirming the company's intended future activities are lawful
- Where information has changed, the change must usually be reported to Companies House separately — it is not enough to simply confirm it on the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is sometimes called a CS01. It is not a financial document — it does not show profit, loss, assets or tax — and it is a completely separate requirement from filing annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return.
Most companies registered at Companies House need to file one, including companies that are dormant, not currently trading, or between contracts. Limited liability partnerships and public limited companies also have confirmation statement obligations. If you are unsure whether it applies to your particular company or structure, it is worth checking your position rather than assuming an exemption applies.
In general, a UK company needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing at all has changed during that period and even if the company is dormant or not trading. The confirmation statement has its own 12-month review period, which is not the same as your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline.
Yes. A company can file more than one confirmation statement during a review period if information changes and you want the public register to reflect it promptly. There is no rule that restricts you to a single filing. Many businesses choose to file once a year, but filing again after a significant change can help keep your record accurate.
The filing covers the key facts Companies House holds about your company: the registered office address, directors and any company secretary, shareholders, share capital and statement of capital, people with significant control, and the SIC codes describing the company's activities. It also includes a statement that the company's intended future activities are lawful. If any of that has changed, it usually needs to be reported separately as well as reflected in your filing.
In most cases, yes. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the confirmation statement is about the accuracy of your company record rather than about trading activity or tax. Dormant companies may have different obligations when it comes to accounts, so it is worth understanding both requirements separately.
No — these are three distinct filings. A confirmation statement confirms the accuracy of your company information at Companies House. Annual (statutory) accounts report your company's financial position to Companies House and HMRC. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is submitted to HMRC to report taxable profits. Filing one does not satisfy the others, and their deadlines do not necessarily fall on the same date.
Failing to file when one is due can lead to action by Companies House, which may include starting the process to strike the company off the register. The exact consequences depend on the circumstances, so it is best not to let a filing fall behind. If you think you have missed one, the sensible step is to deal with it promptly rather than wait.
We start by reviewing the information Companies House currently holds about your company, then we confirm with you what is correct and highlight anything that needs updating. Where changes are needed, we can help with the separate Companies House information updates, and then submit your confirmation statement accurately and on time. It is a straightforward, transparent process designed to remove the guesswork from the whole exercise.
