I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Which Companies in Hawarden Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most companies registered at Companies House need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months, including businesses based in Hawarden and across Flintshire. Being dormant, not trading, or having nothing new to report does not normally remove that requirement — so it pays to check rather than assume.
- Limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, including companies trading from Hawarden
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or receiving income
- Non-trading companies and newly incorporated companies that have not yet started trading
- Owner-managed businesses where the same person is both director and shareholder
- Limited liability partnerships and other entities that are required to file a confirmation statement
- Companies whose directors, shareholders, registered office or shareholdings have changed during the review period

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date at a particular point in time. It is often referred to as the CS01, and it is a completely separate requirement from annual accounts and a Corporation Tax Return.
- The registered office address and the company's registered name
- Directors, company secretaries and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSCs) and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing the company's activities
- A confirmation that the company has complied with its legal obligations, where the form requires it
- Whether the company is exempt from keeping certain statutory registers, where relevant
- Changes such as appointing a director or moving the registered office, which usually need to be reported to Companies House separately using the appropriate forms rather than waiting for the next confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement, often called a CS01, is a statutory filing made to Companies House that confirms the information already held about your company is correct and up to date. It is not a set of accounts and it does not report profit, losses or tax. Instead, you confirm details such as the registered office address, directors, shareholders, people with significant control and SIC codes, and you note whether anything has changed since the last statement. Where a change needs to be reported — for example a new director or a share transfer — that is usually notified separately using the relevant Companies House form.
Any company registered at Companies House generally needs Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months, and that includes companies based in Hawarden and elsewhere in Flintshire. It does not matter whether the company is actively trading, dormant, or has not yet started trading. Limited liability partnerships have comparable obligations. The requirement follows the fact that the entity is registered at Companies House rather than how busy it is, so if you are unsure whether it applies to you, it is worth checking your position rather than assuming you are exempt.
For most companies the confirmation statement must be filed at least once every 12 months, counted from the date of the previous confirmation statement — a period often described as the review period. You can file more than once within a review period if your company information changes and you want the public record updated sooner. This 12-month rhythm runs separately from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline, so filing your accounts does not automatically deal with your confirmation statement.
The statement covers the core information Companies House holds about your company: the registered office address, directors and secretaries, shareholders and share capital, people with significant control and the nature of their control, and your SIC codes. It also asks you to confirm certain compliance matters where the form requires it. Some changes can be reflected as part of the confirmation statement process, while others — such as an appointment or resignation of a director, a change of registered office, or a change of company name — normally have to be reported to Companies House separately. Working out which is which is one of the reasons many businesses prefer to have the filing handled for them.
In most cases, yes. A dormant or non-trading company is still registered at Companies House and will generally need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing every 12 months, even if nothing at all has changed. Being dormant affects what you do about accounts and tax, but it does not usually remove the confirmation statement requirement. A dormant company still has a registered office, directors, shareholders and typically a person with significant control, and those details still need confirming.
These are three separate filings with different purposes and different recipients. The confirmation statement goes to Companies House and confirms that the company information on the public register is accurate. Annual (statutory) accounts also go to Companies House and set out the company's financial position and results for its accounting period. A Corporation Tax Return, usually the CT600, goes to HMRC and reports taxable profits and calculates Corporation Tax. Completing one does not satisfy the others, and each has its own deadline based on the company's own dates.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the information Companies House holds about your company can become out of date, and because confirmation statements are a statutory filing, Companies House can take action where filings remain outstanding — including starting the process to strike the company off the register. What actually happens depends on your company's circumstances and how overdue the filing is, so if you have missed one or more confirmation statements it is sensible to resolve it promptly rather than leave it. If you are unsure of your position, seek advice or check the current Companies House guidance before deciding what to do.
We begin by reviewing the information Companies House currently holds for your company, so we can see what needs confirming and what may need changing. We then explain, in plain English, which updates can be handled through the confirmation statement and which have to be reported separately, and we prepare and submit the filing for you. All you need to do is get in touch with your company details and any changes that have happened, and we will take it from there. It is a straightforward, fixed-fee approach with transparent pricing and no jargon, whether your company is active, dormant or simply has nothing new to report.
