He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.

Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Harefield?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, whatever their size or trading status. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove that requirement — the confirmation statement is about confirming your recorded company information, not about how much you have earned or how much tax you owe.
- Limited companies incorporated in the UK, including single-director and single-shareholder companies
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or active
- Newly incorporated companies approaching the end of their first review period
- Companies that have had changes to directors, shareholders, share capital or registered office details during the year
- Companies limited by guarantee and other entities where Companies House requires a confirmation statement
- Companies whose accounting period, annual accounts or Corporation Tax position is completely separate from their confirmation statement

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement — often referred to as the CS01 — is the filing used to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at a specific date. It is a check-and-confirm exercise rather than a financial report, and it is a completely separate filing from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- The registered office address and the address where company records are kept
- Director details, including appointments and resignations, and company secretary information where applicable
- Shareholder details, share capital, share allotments and transfers
- People with significant control (PSC) information and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes and the statement of lawful purpose
- Any change of company name or other details that need to be reflected on the register
- Confirmation of the review period covered — you can file more than once in a review period when your information changes, and certain changes must be reported to Companies House separately rather than waiting for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing used to confirm that the information held on the public register about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial document. You are not reporting profit, turnover or tax — you are confirming details such as your registered office, directors, shareholders, share capital and people with significant control. Filing it keeps the public record reliable for lenders, customers and anyone else who checks it, and it is a legal requirement for most companies.
In general, a UK company must file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed and even if the company is dormant or not trading. The 12-month period is known as the review period. You can file more than one confirmation statement within a review period when your information changes, and Companies House expects the statement to be filed shortly after the review period ends. The confirmation statement has its own timetable and is not linked to your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline.
Yes, in most cases. Dormancy affects things like Corporation Tax and whether you need to prepare full statutory accounts — it does not normally remove the obligation to confirm your company information at Companies House. A dormant company still has a registered office, directors and shareholders, and those details still need to be confirmed. If you are unsure whether your particular circumstances affect your filing position, it is worth checking before the review period ends.
You should check the details Companies House already holds for your company: the registered office address, the address where your registers are kept, director and secretary details, shareholder information, share capital and any allotments or transfers, your people with significant control (PSC) entries, your SIC codes, and your statement of lawful purpose. If something is wrong or out of date, it needs to be corrected. Some changes — such as the appointment or resignation of a director, or an allotment of shares — must be notified to Companies House separately rather than simply being noted on the confirmation statement.
No, and the difference matters. A confirmation statement confirms that your company information at Companies House is correct. Annual (statutory) accounts are the financial statements prepared for each accounting period, and a Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is the return submitted to HMRC for tax purposes. They have different purposes, different deadlines and different submission routes. Filing a confirmation statement does not satisfy your accounts or tax obligations, and filing accounts does not satisfy your confirmation statement requirement.
The confirmation statement is a legal filing requirement, so failing to file means your company is in default. Companies House can take further action, which may include starting the process to strike the company off the register, and the directors can face consequences as a result. Because the exact position depends on your company's circumstances and history, it is best not to let a filing lapse. If you have missed a statement, acting promptly to bring the record up to date is usually the sensible approach.
A professional service takes responsibility for the administrative side of the process. We review the information currently held at Companies House, check it against what you tell us, flag anything that needs updating, prepare the confirmation statement and submit the CS01 on your behalf. Where changes are needed — for example to your registered office, directors or shareholders — we can help with the Companies House information updates as well. You get accurate filing handled for you, with clear, transparent pricing and no jargon.
Getting started is straightforward. Get in touch with your company name and number, and let us know roughly when your last confirmation statement was filed or when your review period is due. We will confirm what is needed, check the current Companies House record, and guide you through the details you need to confirm. If you also need support with accounts, bookkeeping or other filings, that can be discussed at the same time so everything is handled together rather than piecemeal.
