I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Gatwick?
Most UK companies need Confirmation Statement Filing in Gatwick at least once every 12 months, whether they are actively trading, dormant or not currently trading. The confirmation statement is simply a way of confirming that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date — it is not the same as filing annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return, and it does not replace either of them.
- Limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Dormant companies that are not trading but remain on the Companies House register
- Non-trading or temporarily inactive companies
- Companies limited by guarantee and certain other entity types, including LLPs
- Companies where directors, shareholders or people with significant control have changed
- Single-director and owner-managed companies
- Directors who would rather a professional service handled the CS01 filing for them

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement (often referred to as form CS01) is a statutory filing used to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is correct and current. It is not a set of accounts, it is not a tax return, and it does not report your profit or tax position — it is a check that the public record matches reality.
- The company's registered office address and registered email address, where applicable
- The names and details of directors and the company secretary, if one is appointed
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) information held by the company
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing the nature of the business
- Confirmation that the company's details are accurate as at the confirmation date
- Changes that must be reported separately, such as appointments or resignations, rather than waiting for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
Confirmation Statement Filing is the process of submitting a confirmation statement (form CS01) to Companies House. Rather than reporting new financial information, it confirms that the details Companies House already holds about your company — such as the registered office address, directors, shareholders and people with significant control — are accurate as at the confirmation date. If something has changed, the record can be updated. It is a company information filing, not an accounts or tax filing.
In general, any company registered at Companies House needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, and that applies to companies based in Gatwick just as it does elsewhere in the UK. Being dormant, not trading or having no activity during the period does not normally remove the requirement. A small number of entity types have different arrangements, so it is always worth checking your own company's position or asking a professional to confirm it for you.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, calculated from the date of the last statement or from incorporation. If your company information changes during a review period, you can file more than one confirmation statement in that period rather than waiting. This is separate from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline, so the dates involved are not usually the same.
Before filing, it is worth reviewing the registered office address, the registered email address where applicable, director and secretary details, shareholder information and the statement of capital, people with significant control, and the SIC codes that describe what the company does. If any of those details are out of date, they should be corrected. Some changes, such as appointments and resignations, need to be reported separately rather than simply noted on the confirmation statement.
Yes, in most cases. A dormant company that is not trading is still registered at Companies House, and the confirmation statement confirms that the register is still accurate — for example, that the directors and registered office have not changed. Being dormant does not normally mean the confirmation statement can be ignored. It is also a separate matter from whether the company needs to file accounts or deal with HMRC.
No, and the three are often confused. A confirmation statement confirms company information held by Companies House. Annual accounts report your company's financial position for an accounting period. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is submitted to HMRC to report taxable profits and work out what tax is due. They are separate filings with separate purposes, separate deadlines and, in many cases, separate submission systems.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company is in default with Companies House. Companies House can take steps against a company that fails to file, and in serious or prolonged cases that can ultimately include removing the company from the register. Late or missing filings can also affect how the company is viewed when lenders, banks or customers check the public record, so it is worth keeping the filing up to date.
With a professional service, you provide or confirm the details of your company, and the filing is prepared and submitted on your behalf. Any changes to Companies House information can be handled alongside it, and you will be told clearly what is being filed and when. Because pricing is clear and transparent, there are no surprises. Simply get in touch with your company details and the team will take it from there.
