I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Which Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing in Cowbridge?
Most companies registered at Companies House generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if they are dormant, not trading, or have had no changes to report. The confirmation statement exists to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date — it is not a set of accounts and it is not a tax return.
- Limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Actively trading companies, and companies that have paused trading
- Dormant and non-trading companies, which normally still need to confirm their details
- Companies limited by guarantee and other incorporated entities with a Companies House record
- Directors, company secretaries and others responsible for keeping the register accurate
- Newly incorporated companies approaching their first confirmation statement date

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement (often referred to as the CS01) is the filing a company uses to confirm that the details Companies House holds about it are accurate and up to date. It is a check-and-confirm exercise rather than a financial filing, and it is entirely separate from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and registered company name details
- Directors, company secretary details and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSCs) and their registrable particulars
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code and the nature of the business
- Confirmation that the intended future activities of the company are lawful
- A reminder that changes such as a new registered office, director or share allotment may need to be reported separately rather than waiting for the confirmation statement
- A clear distinction from statutory accounts, VAT Returns and Corporation Tax Returns, which are filed for different reasons

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement, sometimes called a CS01, is a filing made at Companies House to confirm that the information held about a company on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is a confirmation exercise rather than a financial document: you are checking details such as the registered office address, directors, shareholders and people with significant control, and confirming the position is correct. It is not the same as statutory accounts, and it is not a tax filing.
Companies registered at Companies House generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, including companies based in Cowbridge and across the UK. That applies to trading companies, companies that have paused trading, dormant companies and companies limited by guarantee. If you are a director of an incorporated company, it is worth assuming the requirement applies to you unless you have specific advice confirming otherwise based on your company's circumstances.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed, and even if the company is dormant or not trading. A company can also file more than one during a review period when its information changes and it wants the register brought up to date sooner. The confirmation statement cycle is separate from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline, so the dates do not necessarily line up.
Before a confirmation statement is submitted, it is sensible to review the registered office address, the directors and company secretary details, shareholder information and the statement of capital, people with significant control and their registrable details, and your SIC code and description of business. You also confirm the lawful purpose statement. If something has changed — a director has resigned, shares have been allotted, or you have moved premises — that change may need to be reported to Companies House separately rather than simply noted on the confirmation statement.
Yes, in most cases. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the confirmation statement is about the accuracy of your company information rather than about profit, turnover or tax. A dormant company may have very little to change, but it still generally needs to confirm that what Companies House holds is correct at least once every 12 months.
No, they are two different filings with different purposes. The confirmation statement confirms that your company information at Companies House is accurate. Annual accounts report your company's financial position and performance for an accounting period, and they are prepared to a different deadline and standard. Filing one does not satisfy the requirement to file the other, so both generally need to be dealt with separately.
A confirmation statement is filed with Companies House to confirm the accuracy of company information on the public register. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is filed with HMRC to report the company's taxable profits and calculate what tax is due. They go to different authorities, serve different purposes and follow different deadlines. Completing a confirmation statement has no bearing on your Corporation Tax obligations, and vice versa.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company is not up to date on the register, and Companies House can take enforcement action against the company and its directors. Continuing to trade while a required filing is outstanding can also cause practical problems, such as difficulties when opening bank accounts, applying for finance or completing a sale or due diligence exercise. With professional support, the process starts with a simple review of your current Companies House record; we identify anything that needs updating, prepare the confirmation statement, submit it and keep you informed at each stage.
