I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK limited companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement, regardless of whether they are trading, dormant or simply not active at the moment. Being dormant or having no income does not normally remove the requirement, because the confirmation statement is about confirming your company's record — not about reporting profit or tax.
- Companies limited by shares, limited by guarantee and limited liability partnerships registered in the UK
- Active trading companies that need to keep their public record current
- Dormant companies that are not trading but remain on the register
- Non-trading companies, including those between contracts or projects
- Companies whose directors, shareholders or people with significant control have changed
- Directors running more than one company who want the filing handled for them
- Newly formed companies approaching their first confirmation statement

What Is a Confirmation Statement and Why Does It Matter?
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It is sometimes called a CS01 filing, and it is a separate requirement from your annual accounts and from your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and the company's single alternative inspection location, where applicable
- Director and secretary details, including appointments and resignations
- Shareholder information and details of share capital and shares issued
- People with significant control (PSC) information and the register kept by the company
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- The statement confirming that the company has complied with its obligations to keep these records up to date
- Any changes that need to be reported separately rather than saved for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing that confirms the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It is submitted to Companies House, usually on a CS01 form, and it covers the company's record: registered office address, directors, shareholders, people with significant control and similar details. It is not a financial document. It does not report profit, turnover or tax, and it does not replace your annual accounts.
If your company is registered at Companies House, it will generally be required to file a confirmation statement, regardless of where in the UK it is based or where its directors live. That applies to companies limited by shares, companies limited by guarantee and limited liability partnerships. Because the requirement can depend on your company's particular circumstances, it is always worth checking your company's own filing history and confirmation dates rather than assuming.
Most companies need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if the company is dormant or not trading. This runs on a review period rather than your accounting period. You can file more than one confirmation statement within a review period if your company information changes and you want the public record updated sooner, and certain changes may need to be reported separately rather than waiting for the confirmation statement. Your review period is based on your company's own filing history, so it is worth confirming your date.
You should check that Companies House holds the correct registered office address, the right directors and secretary details, accurate shareholder and share capital information, up-to-date people with significant control details, and SIC codes that genuinely describe what the company does. You should also check whether anything has changed since the last filing. If something has changed, it may need to be reported separately as well as reflected in the confirmation statement, and we can help you work out what applies to your company.
In most cases, yes. A company being dormant for accounts purposes or not trading does not normally remove the obligation to file a confirmation statement, because the confirmation statement confirms the company's record rather than reporting financial activity. Dormant companies still have directors, shareholders and a registered office on the public register, and those details still need confirming. The confirmation statement is also a separate filing from the accounts a dormant company may still need to prepare.
Annual accounts are financial statements showing the company's financial position and performance for an accounting period, and they are filed at Companies House. A confirmation statement is a non-financial filing that confirms the company's record details are correct. They have different purposes and separate deadlines, so filing one does not satisfy the other. A company can be fully up to date with its confirmation statement and still owe accounts, or vice versa.
A Corporation Tax Return, often called a CT600, is filed with HMRC and reports the company's taxable profits and the corporation tax due. A confirmation statement is filed with Companies House and confirms company information such as directors, shareholders and registered office details. They go to different organisations for different reasons, and submitting a confirmation statement does not deal with your Corporation Tax obligations. VAT Returns are separate again.
The confirmation statement is a filing obligation, so if it is not submitted, the company is not meeting that obligation and Companies House may take action. Failing to keep the register up to date can also cause practical problems, such as outdated director or shareholder information appearing on public searches. Rather than risk the consequences, it is far simpler to have the filing handled as part of a regular routine so nothing is missed.
We start by reviewing the information currently held at Companies House and comparing it with what you tell us about your company. If anything needs updating, we let you know what can be changed through the confirmation statement and what may need to be reported separately. Once the details are confirmed, we prepare and submit the CS01 filing on your behalf. You get a clear record of what was filed and when, without needing to navigate the Companies House system yourself.
Get in touch with your company name and company number, and tell us whether anything has changed since your last confirmation statement, such as a new director, a change of registered office or a share transfer. We will check your position, explain what needs to happen and handle the filing for you. If you are unsure when your confirmation statement is due, we can help you work that out first.
