I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK companies need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing at least once every 12 months, whether they are actively trading, dormant or simply not trading at the moment. Being dormant does not normally remove the requirement, because the confirmation statement confirms the information Companies House holds about the company — not profit, turnover or tax position.
- Active companies that are trading normally
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading
- Non-trading companies that are between periods of activity
- Companies limited by shares or by guarantee
- Limited liability partnerships and other entities required to file at Companies House
- Companies whose directors, shareholders, registered office or PSC details have changed since the last filing

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement — often called a CS01 — is a statutory filing made at Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date. It is a separate filing from your annual accounts and from a Corporation Tax Return, with its own purpose and its own review period.
- Registered office address and company name details
- Directors, company secretary and their particulars
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) information
- Standard industrial classification (SIC) code and nature of business
- Companies can file more than one confirmation statement during a review period when information changes
- Some changes must be reported to Companies House separately rather than waiting for the confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made at Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date. It is often referred to as a CS01. Importantly, it is not a financial document — it does not report profit, turnover or tax, and it is a completely separate filing from your annual accounts and from a Corporation Tax Return.
Most UK companies and limited liability partnerships are required to file a confirmation statement. The requirement generally applies whether the company is trading, non-trading or dormant. Because the exact obligation can depend on your company type and circumstances, it is worth checking your position if you are unsure — but assuming you are exempt simply because you have not traded is a common and costly mistake.
A company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. The filing is based on a review period rather than your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline, so the dates can fall at different times of the year. You can also file more than one confirmation statement during a review period if your company information changes and you want the public record updated sooner.
The statement confirms the details Companies House already holds, including the registered office address, directors and secretary, shareholders and share capital, people with significant control, and the SIC code describing your business activity. If something has changed, it may need to be updated. Some changes — for example certain alterations to share capital or director appointments and resignations — must be reported to Companies House separately rather than being dealt with through the confirmation statement alone.
Yes, in most cases. A dormant company that is not trading and has no significant accounting transactions will normally still need to file a confirmation statement each year. Dormancy affects what you report in your accounts and your tax position, but it does not usually remove the obligation to confirm that the information Companies House holds about the company is correct.
No — they are two different filings with different purposes. Annual accounts report your company's financial position and performance for an accounting period. A confirmation statement is a short confirmation that the company information held at Companies House is accurate and up to date. They have separate deadlines, so filing one does not satisfy the requirement to file the other.
No. A Corporation Tax Return, often called a CT600, is filed with HMRC and deals with the company's tax position. A confirmation statement is filed with Companies House and deals with company information such as directors, shareholders and the registered office. The two are handled by different bodies for different purposes, and completing one does not replace the need to complete the other.
Failing to file a confirmation statement is an offence, and Companies House can take action against the company and its directors. Continued failure to file can ultimately lead to the company being struck off the register, which can cause real problems for directors and shareholders and may affect assets held by the company. If you have missed a filing, it is best to address it as soon as possible rather than waiting.
You provide your company details and let us know about any changes, and we review the information Companies House currently holds. We prepare the confirmation statement, flag anything that needs updating or reporting separately, and submit the CS01 on your behalf. You then get confirmation that the filing has been completed, so you have a clear record of what was filed and when.
Simply get in touch with Micro Entity Accounts and let us know your company name and any changes that have occurred since your last filing. We will confirm what is needed, explain the process in plain English and handle the confirmation statement submission for you. Where updates to your Companies House information are required, we can help you deal with those as part of the same piece of work.
