He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Which Companies Need to File a Confirmation Statement?
Most UK companies need to file a confirmation statement with Companies House, generally at least once every 12 months, even if the company is dormant, not trading or has had no changes during the year. The confirmation statement is simply a way of confirming that the information Companies House holds is accurate and up to date — it is not a set of annual accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return.
- Active companies that are trading and have filed accounts before
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading or receiving income
- Non-trading companies that are between activities or being kept ready for future use
- Companies limited by shares, companies limited by guarantee and LLPs, where a confirmation statement is due
- Companies whose directors, shareholders or people with significant control have changed
- Newly incorporated companies that have reached their first confirmation statement date
- Companies that have moved registered office or changed other registered details

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date as at a particular date. It is a separate requirement from annual accounts and a separate requirement from a Corporation Tax Return, and filing one does not replace any of your other Companies House or tax obligations.
- Registered office address and company name details
- The company's principal business activities (SIC codes)
- Directors, company secretary (where applicable) and their registered particulars
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) information
- Confirmation that the company has complied with its legal obligations where that is required
- Reporting of changes — some changes, such as new directors, share allotments or a change of registered office, may need to be notified separately rather than simply confirmed on the confirmation statement
- The confirmation statement is not annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return, and it does not calculate or report profit, tax or VAT
- Companies can file more than one confirmation statement during a review period when information changes, so there is no need to wait until the next annual filing to put things right

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
Confirmation Statement Filing is the process of submitting a confirmation statement (form CS01) to Companies House to confirm that the information held about your company is accurate and up to date. A Romford-based service means your company's filing is handled by people familiar with UK Companies House requirements, so the right information is checked and the submission is made correctly. It is a standalone filing and is not the same as annual accounts or a Corporation Tax Return.
Most UK companies, including companies limited by shares, companies limited by guarantee and LLPs, need to file a confirmation statement at Companies House generally at least once every 12 months. The requirement normally applies even if the company is dormant, not trading, or has had no changes at all during the period. If you are unsure whether your company is due, it is worth checking your Companies House record and your last confirmation statement date.
In most cases a company must file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, based on its own confirmation statement date rather than its accounting period or accounts deadline. You can also file more than one confirmation statement within the same review period if your company information changes and you want the public record updated sooner. These are separate timelines: your confirmation statement date, your accounting reference date and your Corporation Tax Return deadline do not necessarily fall on the same day.
The confirmation statement confirms details such as the registered office address, the company's business activities (SIC codes), directors and company secretary where applicable, shareholders and share capital, and people with significant control. Rather than simply repeating what is already on file, we check it against your current records so any gaps or inaccuracies are picked up. Some changes, such as the appointment or resignation of a director or a change of registered office, may need to be notified to Companies House separately, so the confirmation statement is not the only step in every case.
Generally yes. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the filing is about confirming that the company's recorded information is correct rather than reporting trading activity or profit. Dormant companies often have fewer changes to report, but the confirmation statement itself is usually still due. If you are unsure about your company's position, we can review your circumstances before filing.
A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date. Annual accounts are a separate filing that report your company's financial position and performance for an accounting period, following the relevant accounting framework and filing deadlines. Filing a confirmation statement does not satisfy your accounts filing requirement, and filing accounts does not satisfy your confirmation statement requirement — the two are handled separately and on different timelines.
A confirmation statement is filed with Companies House and is about the accuracy of your company's registered details. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is filed with HMRC and reports your company's taxable profits and tax position for an accounting period. They are submitted to different organisations, serve different purposes and have their own deadlines, so a confirmation statement should never be treated as a substitute for a Corporation Tax Return or vice versa.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company's public record will not reflect the current position and Companies House may take further action in relation to the overdue filing, which can affect the company's standing. Keeping filings up to date avoids unnecessary complications later, for example when dealing with banks, lenders or other parties who check your record. If you think a filing may have been missed, it is best to address it as soon as possible.
You share your company details and any changes since the last filing, and we check the information against what Companies House holds, prepare the confirmation statement submission and file it on your behalf. Where a change needs to be reported separately, we will let you know what is required. You get a clear record of what has been filed, confirmation that it has been submitted, and straightforward, transparent pricing rather than hidden extras.
Simply get in touch with your company name, company number and details of any changes since your last confirmation statement. We will confirm what is due, explain the steps, and arrange for your confirmation statement submission to be handled promptly. If you would also like help with Companies House information updates or other company filings, that can be arranged at the same time.
