I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Rhyl?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement, and that includes companies based in Rhyl and across North Wales. It applies to active trading companies, dormant companies and companies that are not currently trading, because the requirement is about confirming the record Companies House holds rather than about how much business you are doing.
- Active limited companies that trade through Companies House
- Dormant companies, including those with no income or expenditure in the period
- Non-trading companies that are simply sitting on the register
- Companies limited by guarantee and other incorporated entities that file at Companies House
- Directors who want their registered office, officer and shareholder details reviewed before filing
- Companies whose details have changed and need the record brought up to date
- Business owners in Rhyl who would rather have the filing handled professionally

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement (often called a CS01) is a document filed at Companies House to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial document — it is a check on the company record, usually filed at least once every 12 months, even if nothing has changed and even if the company is dormant or not trading.
- Registered office address and company name details
- The company's registered email address and other statutory contact details
- Directors, secretaries and their recorded particulars
- Shareholders, share classes and the statement of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) and their registrable details
- Standard industrial classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- Confirmation of whether the company is exempt from keeping certain registers
- Any information that has changed and therefore needs updating before the statement is filed

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing used to confirm that the information held about your company on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial filing and it does not report profit, turnover or tax. Instead, it confirms a snapshot of your company details — such as the registered office address, directors, shareholders, statement of capital, people with significant control and SIC codes. If all of that information is already correct, you are simply confirming it. If something has changed, the record may need updating as part of the process.
Most companies incorporated in the UK, including those based in Rhyl and elsewhere in Wales, need to file a confirmation statement. The requirement generally applies whether the company is actively trading, dormant, or not trading at all. Whether you file yourself or use a confirmation statement service, the obligation sits with the company. If you are unsure whether your particular company or entity is covered, it is worth checking based on your specific circumstances rather than assuming.
A UK company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. This period is known as the review period, and it is separate from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline. If your company information changes during a review period, you can choose to file more than one confirmation statement within that period rather than waiting. Certain changes — such as a change of registered office or the appointment of a director — may need to be reported to Companies House separately, using the relevant form, rather than being left until the confirmation statement is due.
Before filing, it is worth reviewing the information Companies House currently holds about your company. That typically includes the registered office address, the registered email address, directors and company secretary details, shareholders and the statement of capital, people with significant control, and your SIC codes describing the company's activities. Some details must be updated through separate filings rather than only through the confirmation statement, which is one of the reasons it pays to check the record carefully before you submit anything.
Yes, in most cases. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the confirmation statement is about confirming the company record rather than reporting trading activity. A dormant company is still registered at Companies House and still needs its details confirmed. Dormant companies may be able to file simpler accounts, and there may be circumstances where a Corporation Tax Return is not required, but those are separate matters from the confirmation statement.
They are three distinct filings. A confirmation statement confirms that your Companies House record is accurate and up to date, and contains no financial figures. Annual accounts are the statutory financial statements for your company, prepared for the relevant accounting period. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is filed with HMRC to report the company's tax position for a Corporation Tax accounting period. Filing a confirmation statement does not satisfy your accounts obligation, your Corporation Tax Return obligation, your VAT Return obligation or any other filing requirement.
If a confirmation statement is not filed when it is due, the company falls behind on its Companies House filing obligations. Companies House can take action where filings are overdue, and repeated failure to file can ultimately lead to the company being struck off the register and its assets passing to the Crown. The practical approach is to deal with an overdue confirmation statement as soon as you can, and to check whether any information on the register also needs correcting at the same time.
With professional Confirmation Statement Filing, you provide or confirm your company details, we review the information currently held at Companies House, highlight anything that looks out of date and prepare and submit your confirmation statement. We will also point out where a separate filing may be needed for a particular change. To get started, simply get in touch with your company details and the last confirmation statement date you are aware of, and we will take it from there. If you are unsure what is due, we can help you work that out before anything is filed.
