I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

I had a positive experience with Accotax. The work was completed promptly, my tax return was successfully filed, and I received a refund of overpaid tax. I found the cooperation efficient and helpful. Special thanks to Muhammad Saifullah for his assistance.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Great speedy service and very personable. Anum dealt with my income certificate and did everything quickly and helped me out massively. Very happy with the service provided.
Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need Confirmation Statement Filing?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to complete Confirmation Statement Filing, and that includes companies that are dormant, not trading, or have had a quiet year. The confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds is accurate — it is not the same thing as your annual accounts or your Corporation Tax Return.
- Active trading companies limited by shares
- Dormant companies with no trading activity
- Non-trading or newly incorporated companies
- Companies limited by guarantee
- Public limited companies (PLCs)
- Limited liability partnerships (LLPs)
- Single-director and single-shareholder companies
- Companies whose details have changed during the year

What Is a Confirmation Statement and Why Does Companies House Need One?
A confirmation statement is the form that confirms the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at a particular date. Think of it as a check-up rather than a full set of accounts — it is a separate filing from your statutory accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
- Registered office address and company name
- Directors, secretaries and their details
- Shareholders, share capital and shareholdings
- People with Significant Control (PSC) information
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes
- The statement of lawful purpose
- Confirmation that trading status and other basic details are correct
- Reporting changes that cannot wait until the next confirmation statement

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date as at a set date. It is sometimes referred to by its form name, CS01. It covers details such as your registered office address, directors, shareholders, people with significant control and your company's standard industrial classification codes. It is not a financial document — it does not replace your annual accounts or your Corporation Tax Return, and those remain separate requirements in their own right.
In most cases, yes. The confirmation statement requirement is generally not removed just because a company is dormant, has not traded, or has had no activity during the year. The purpose of the filing is to confirm that the information Companies House holds is still correct, so the duty usually continues regardless of how much business the company has done. There are some circumstances where the position differs, so it is always worth checking your company's specific situation rather than assuming you are exempt.
A UK company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, even if nothing about the company has changed. Companies House sets out a review period for each company, and the deadline for filing falls shortly after that review period ends — Companies House confirms the exact due date for your company. You can also file more than one confirmation statement within a review period if your details change and you want Companies House to hold the updated position sooner.
Before filing, it is worth reviewing the company's registered office address, its directors and company secretary (where one is appointed), the shareholders and their shareholdings, share capital details, your people with significant control information, your SIC codes, and the company's statement of lawful purpose. If any of that information is out of date, it needs to be corrected — sometimes through a separate filing rather than through the confirmation statement itself. Checking everything carefully before submission helps avoid a follow-up correction later.
Some changes can be reflected when you file, but others must be reported to Companies House separately and should not be left until your confirmation statement is due. Changes such as a new registered office address, the appointment or resignation of a director, a share allotment or a change to your people with significant control details typically need their own notification. A professional Confirmation Statement Filing service will usually flag these for you and make sure the right information reaches Companies House through the right route.
They are two completely separate filings with different purposes. A confirmation statement confirms that the company information held at Companies House is accurate and up to date — it is about facts such as directors, shareholders and addresses, not money. Annual accounts, by contrast, are the company's statutory financial statements covering a set accounting period and include figures such as turnover, assets and liabilities. Filing one does not satisfy the requirement to file the other, and their deadlines are calculated differently.
No. A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and confirms company information. A Corporation Tax Return, often referred to as a CT600, goes to HMRC and reports the company's taxable profits and the tax due for an accounting period. They are filed with different organisations, cover different things, and are subject to their own deadlines. Preparing or filing a confirmation statement does not deal with your Corporation Tax Return or any other tax obligation, and vice versa.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the information held at Companies House is no longer confirmed as up to date, and Companies House can take action in line with its published guidance. This can create difficulties when you need to show your company's records are current, for example when dealing with banks, lenders or other organisations that check the register. The simplest approach is to keep on top of the filing date and deal with it as soon as it comes round.
You provide the details of your company and anything that has changed over the year, and we check that information against what Companies House holds. We then prepare the confirmation statement, confirm the details with you, and submit it on your behalf, keeping you informed along the way. Where something needs to be reported separately, we will let you know so it can be dealt with properly rather than being missed.
Get in touch with us and tell us a little about your company — whether it is trading, dormant or non-trading — and when your confirmation statement is next due. If you are unsure about the date, we can help you work out where you stand by looking at your company's review period. From there, we will explain what is needed, give you clear details of how our service works, and take it from there.
