I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

I had a positive experience with Accotax. The work was completed promptly, my tax return was successfully filed, and I received a refund of overpaid tax. I found the cooperation efficient and helpful. Special thanks to Muhammad Saifullah for his assistance.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need to File a Confirmation Statement?
If your company is on the register at Companies House, it will normally have a confirmation statement to file — whether it is actively trading, dormant, or simply quiet for a while. The requirement sits with the company's existence on the register, not with how much business it is doing, and it is separate from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return (CT600).
- Active trading companies of any size
- Dormant companies and companies that are not currently trading
- Newly incorporated companies approaching their first confirmation statement
- Companies limited by shares and companies limited by guarantee
- Limited liability partnerships, which also file confirmation statements
- Companies whose directors, shareholders, registered office or People with Significant Control details have changed

What Is a Confirmation Statement, and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement — often called a CS01 — is the regular check-in with Companies House. Its job is to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a set of annual accounts and it is not a tax return, so it does not report your profits, your tax position or your accounting figures.
- Registered office address and company details held on the register
- Directors, secretaries and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the statement of capital
- People with Significant Control (PSC) information and the PSC register
- The company's Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code, where applicable
- Changes that must be reported separately rather than waiting for the statement, such as a director appointment or a registered office move

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement, also known as a CS01, is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company on the register is accurate and up to date. It is a confirmation of existing information rather than a financial filing: it does not include profit figures, turnover or tax calculations. Think of it as an annual check-in that keeps the public record for your company correct.
If your company is registered at Companies House, it will normally need to file a confirmation statement regardless of where you are based or where you trade, so a company registered in the Cwmbran Torfaen area is in exactly the same position as one registered anywhere else in the UK. The requirement applies whether the company is active, dormant or simply not trading at the moment. If you are unsure whether your company is due, the due date and review period are shown on your company's Companies House record.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. Companies House sets a review period for your company, and the statement is due after that review period ends, within the window Companies House allows. You can also file more than one confirmation statement during a review period when your information changes and you want the register to reflect that sooner rather than later. The confirmation statement review period is separate from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline, so do not assume they fall on the same date.
Before filing, it is worth checking the registered office address, the details of your directors and secretary, your shareholders and share capital, your People with Significant Control information and, where relevant, your SIC code. A confirmation statement confirms that this information is correct — it is not a form for changing everything that may have moved on. Some changes, such as appointing a director or moving the registered office, have to be reported to Companies House separately, so we look at the register first and then let you know what needs to be updated and by which route.
Yes, in general they do. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the obligation to file a confirmation statement, because the statement is about the accuracy of the information on the register rather than about business activity. A dormant company may still have directors, shareholders and People with Significant Control whose details need confirming, and their circumstances can change. Dormancy also affects other filings differently, so it is worth taking advice on your overall position rather than assuming one filing covers everything.
No, these are three separate things. A confirmation statement confirms that your company information at Companies House is correct. Annual (statutory) accounts are the financial statements prepared for your company's accounting period. A Corporation Tax Return, often referred to as a CT600, is filed with HMRC to report your company's taxable profits and work out the corporation tax due. Filing a confirmation statement does not satisfy your accounts filing obligation or your Corporation Tax obligations, and it does not make your company compliant with every Companies House or tax requirement.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company's record at Companies House falls out of date, which can cause problems when you need to prove your company's details to banks, customers or suppliers. Companies House can also take action against companies that do not keep their records up to date, and persistent non-filing can ultimately lead to steps being taken to strike a company off the register. Because the consequences depend on the company's circumstances, it is always better to bring outstanding filings up to date as soon as you can.
We begin by reviewing what Companies House currently holds for your company, then confirm with you what is accurate and what has changed. Where something needs updating, we help with the Companies House information updates that apply, and we prepare and submit your Confirmation Statement Filing on your behalf. You get clear, transparent pricing and a straightforward explanation of what is being filed and why. To get started, simply get in touch with your company details and any changes since the last statement, and we will take it from there.
