I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Anglesey?
UK companies are generally required to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, and being dormant, quiet, or not currently trading does not normally remove that requirement. The confirmation statement is a separate filing from your annual accounts and your Corporation Tax Return — it exists to confirm that the information Companies House holds about your company is accurate and up to date.
- Limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Companies that are actively trading and invoicing customers
- Dormant companies with no trading activity during the period
- Non-trading companies that are between projects or winding down activity
- Companies limited by shares and companies limited by guarantee
- Directors who want reassurance that their Companies House record is correct

What Is a Confirmation Statement, and What Is It For?
A confirmation statement is the Companies House filing used to confirm that the information held about your company is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. It is not a set of statutory accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return (CT600) — it is a distinct, recurring filing with its own purpose and its own review period.
- Confirms your registered office address and your company's registered details
- Confirms the directors and secretaries currently in office
- Confirms shareholder and share capital information, where applicable
- Confirms the people with significant control (PSCs) recorded for the company
- Highlights details that have changed and need updating at Companies House
- Is filed separately from annual accounts, CT600 returns, VAT Returns and payroll submissions

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a Companies House filing that confirms the information held about your company — such as the registered office, directors, shareholders and people with significant control — is accurate and up to date as at the confirmation date. Annual accounts are a separate filing that report your company's financial position and performance for an accounting period. Filing one does not satisfy the requirement to file the other, and their deadlines are not the same, so both usually need to be dealt with.
Companies registered in the UK, including those based in Anglesey, generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. That applies to trading companies, dormant companies and companies that are not currently trading. If your company is registered at Companies House, you should assume a confirmation statement is due unless you have checked your company's review period and confirmed otherwise.
Most companies file once every 12 months, based on their own review period rather than the tax year or accounting period. You can also file more than one confirmation statement within a review period if something changes and you want the record updated sooner. The confirmation statement is separate from your accounting period and from your annual accounts deadline, so it is worth tracking it in its own right.
You will typically be checking the registered office address, the directors and company secretary in office, the shareholder details and share capital, and the people with significant control recorded for the company. It is also worth confirming the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code and any other company details Companies House holds. If something is wrong, it may need to be corrected — and in some cases that means a separate notification rather than relying on the confirmation statement alone.
In most cases, yes. Dormancy or a pause in trading does not normally remove the obligation to file a confirmation statement, because the filing is about the company's registered information rather than its trading activity. A dormant company may be able to file simpler accounts, but that is a different filing with different rules. If you are unsure how dormancy affects your specific company, it is worth checking your circumstances rather than assuming the confirmation statement can be skipped.
A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and confirms the company's registered information. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) goes to HMRC and reports the company's taxable profits and tax position. They are filed with different bodies, serve completely different purposes, and have separate deadlines. Submitting a confirmation statement does not mean your corporation tax obligations have been dealt with, and vice versa.
If a confirmation statement is not filed, the company's record at Companies House falls out of date, and Companies House can take enforcement action in line with its own processes. Leaving it late also creates a risk that incorrect information stays on the public register for longer than necessary. Because the exact consequences depend on the company's circumstances and how long the filing is outstanding, the safest approach is to file on time or get help promptly if you have fallen behind.
We review the information Companies House currently holds about your company, work through it with you so you can confirm what is correct, flag anything that needs updating, and then prepare and submit your confirmation statement. Where changes need to be reported separately, we can help with those Companies House information updates as well. To get started, simply get in touch with your company details and we will explain the next steps clearly, with no jargon and no obligation.
