I worked with Accotx on a HMRC reclaim and overall, they did ultimately deliver on their promise, which I appreciate. The process did take longer than any of us expected, partly due to external delays with the tax authorities, and partly because there were some hiccups in communication and follow-up. However, despite those challenges, they stayed professional and stuck to the original agreed terms. If you’re considering using them, be prepared to stay in regular contact to keep things moving along. They are absolutely capable, have the expertise and willing to work with you, and overall improving their services over time. I would certainly return for any future needs.Posted on Google![]()

I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

Who Needs Confirmation Statement Filing in Acton?
Most UK companies, including those registered in Acton, need to file a confirmation statement. The requirement generally applies whether your company is actively trading, dormant, or simply not trading at the moment. A confirmation statement confirms that the information Companies House holds is accurate — it is not a set of annual accounts and it is not a Corporation Tax Return.
- Active companies trading in Acton and across the UK
- Dormant companies that are not currently trading
- Companies that are registered but have not yet started trading
- Single director and single shareholder companies
- Limited companies, public limited companies and limited liability partnerships
- Any company whose registered details have changed since its last confirmation statement

What Is a Confirmation Statement and What Does It Confirm?
A confirmation statement, filed with Companies House on form CS01, is the document that confirms the information held about your company is accurate and up to date. It contains no financial figures and does not report profit, turnover or tax. Instead, it asks you to check the public register and either confirm the details are correct or tell Companies House what has changed.
- Registered office address, and a SAIL address if the company uses one
- Director and company secretary details, including appointments and resignations
- Shareholder information, share capital and statements of capital
- People with significant control (PSC) and the nature of their control
- Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes describing business activity
- The statement of lawful purpose confirming the company's intended activities are lawful
- A confirmation statement is a separate filing from statutory annual accounts and from a Corporation Tax Return (CT600) — completing one does not satisfy the others

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House, normally on form CS01, that confirms the information Companies House already holds about your company is accurate and up to date. It is not a financial document: it contains no profit figures, no turnover and no tax calculations. Instead, it asks you to check the register — your registered office, directors, shareholders, people with significant control, SIC codes and similar details — and either confirm they are correct or set out what has changed.
The requirement generally applies to companies on the Companies House register, including those based in Acton, whether they are trading, dormant or not yet trading. It typically covers private limited companies, public limited companies and limited liability partnerships. If you are unsure whether your particular entity is required to file, or when its next filing is due, it is worth checking your company's filing history at Companies House or asking an accountant to review it for you.
A UK company generally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, counting from the date its last confirmation statement was filed (or from incorporation if it has not filed one yet). That 12-month window is known as the review period. You do not have to wait for the anniversary — if your company information changes, you can file an earlier confirmation statement within the same review period. The confirmation statement timetable is separate from your accounting period and your annual accounts deadline, so it is worth tracking both.
Filing is essentially a check of the public register. In practice that means the registered office address, director and secretary details, shareholder and share capital information, people with significant control and the nature of their control, SIC codes and the statement of lawful purpose. If something has changed, some updates need to be reported on separate forms rather than only through the confirmation statement — for example a director appointment or resignation, a change of registered office, or the allotment of shares. A confirmation statement does not replace those separate notifications.
Yes, in most cases. A confirmation statement confirms the register is accurate, so it does not depend on whether the company has traded, made a profit or moved any money. A dormant or non-trading company will normally still need to file one unless it has been dissolved or has successfully applied to be removed from the register. Dormant companies may also have other obligations, such as dormant company accounts and, depending on their circumstances, a Corporation Tax Return, so it is worth checking your position rather than assuming nothing is due.
They are three separate filings with three separate purposes. Annual accounts are your company's financial statements and show its financial position and performance for an accounting period. A Corporation Tax Return (CT600) is the tax return submitted to HMRC to report taxable profit and work out what tax is due. A confirmation statement is purely an informational filing at Companies House confirming that the company details held on the register are correct. It contains no figures and does not calculate or report tax, and filing one does not satisfy the other two obligations.
If the statement is not filed, Companies House has no confirmation that the company's details are current, and the filing will show as overdue on the public register. Banks, lenders, customers and other parties often review that record, so an overdue or out-of-date entry can raise questions. Companies House can take action where a company repeatedly fails to file, and persistent non-filing can ultimately lead to a company being removed from the register. Directors remain responsible for ensuring the company's filings are made, so an overdue confirmation statement is best dealt with promptly rather than left.
We begin by reviewing the information Companies House currently holds for your company, so we know what needs confirming and what may need updating. We then prepare your CS01 and submit it on your behalf, and where a change needs to be reported on a separate form we will flag it so nothing slips through. Pricing is clear and transparent, with fixed-fee options available. Getting started usually means sending us your company name and number, the date of your last confirmation statement, and details of anything that has changed since. From there, we handle the submission and let you know when it has been processed.
