I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions from directors of small UK limited companies. Can’t see yours? Ask us directly and we’ll answer the same working day.
Micro-entity accounts are a simplified form of statutory accounts that eligible small companies can prepare under the micro-entity regime. They require reduced disclosures compared to full accounts, and are filed with Companies House. The accounts are prepared using the Financial Reporting Standard FRS 105.
Private limited companies and other eligible entities, such as some LLPs, may qualify if they meet the size criteria set by the Companies Act. For accounting periods beginning on or after 6 April 2025, a company generally needs to meet at least two of three conditions: turnover no more than £1 million, balance sheet total no more than £500,000, and an average of no more than 10 employees. Eligibility depends on the company's circumstances, and we can review yours.
For accounting periods starting on or after 6 April 2025, the thresholds are annual turnover of no more than £1 million, balance sheet total of no more than £500,000, and an average of no more than 10 employees. A company generally needs to meet at least two of these conditions, subject to the applicable rules. Earlier periods have different thresholds, so we always check the relevant requirements.
FRS 105 is the financial reporting standard that applies to micro-entities preparing statutory accounts under the micro-entity regime. It permits reduced disclosure requirements, such as a simplified balance sheet and limited notes, compared to FRS 102. Using FRS 105 can reduce the administrative burden of preparing annual accounts.
To prepare your accounts, we need your company's financial records for the year, including bank statements, invoices, receipts, and details of any loans or investments. If your records are incomplete, we can advise on what is missing and help you get organised. We also need details of any directors' loans or dividends paid.
No, they are separate obligations. Micro-entity accounts are statutory accounts filed with Companies House, providing a snapshot of the company's financial position. A Corporation Tax return, typically a CT600, is submitted to HMRC and reports the company's taxable profits. Both need to be completed accurately and on time, and we can assist with both.
Yes, if they operate through a limited company or other eligible entity that meets the size criteria. Startups with low turnover and contractors with modest revenue often qualify. However, eligibility is not automatic – it depends on the company's turnover, balance sheet total, and employee numbers. We can help determine if your company qualifies.
We offer transparent, fixed-fee pricing for our micro-entity accounts filing service. This means you know the cost upfront before any work begins, with no hidden charges. The fee covers the preparation of your accounts, the Companies House filing, and, where applicable, the CT600 Corporation Tax return submission to HMRC. Please contact us for a quote based on your company's circumstances.
