I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions from directors of small UK limited companies. Can’t see yours? Ask us directly and we’ll answer the same working day.
Micro-entity accounts are a simplified form of statutory accounts that eligible small companies can prepare and file with Companies House. They are designed to reduce the administrative burden by requiring less detail than full accounts, but they still provide a true and fair view of the company's financial position.
Private limited companies and certain other entities, such as qualifying LLPs, may qualify if they meet the micro-entity size criteria. For accounting periods beginning on or after 6 April 2025, a company generally needs to meet at least two of the following: annual turnover of no more than £1 million, a balance sheet total of no more than £500,000, and an average of no more than 10 employees. Eligibility also depends on the company's structure and previous financial years.
FRS 105 is the Financial Reporting Standard applicable to micro-entities in the UK. It sets out the accounting treatment and disclosure requirements for companies that choose to prepare micro-entity accounts. FRS 105 is designed to be simpler and less burdensome than full FRS 102 accounts.
To prepare your micro-entity accounts, we typically need your company's bank statements, invoices, receipts, and details of any loans or share capital. We also need information about any fixed assets and depreciation, as well as the names of directors and shareholders. If your records are incomplete, we can advise on what is required and help you get organised.
Our filing service includes preparation of the statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 105, ensuring they meet Companies House requirements, and submitting them electronically. We also provide guidance on the director's report and balance sheet, and we can assist with the separate Corporation Tax Return (CT600) for HMRC if required.
Yes, statutory micro-entity accounts must be filed with Companies House within nine months of the company's financial year end. We handle this submission on your behalf, ensuring it is done correctly and on time. Note that this is separate from your Corporation Tax Return, which is sent to HMRC.
Yes, most companies need to file a Corporation Tax Return (CT600) with HMRC, even if they prepare micro-entity accounts. The CT600 reports the company's taxable profits and is due nine months and one day after the year end. We can assist with preparing and submitting the CT600 to ensure you meet your HMRC obligations.
Yes, qualifying limited liability partnerships (LLPs) may be able to use micro-entity accounts if they meet the size criteria and other conditions. We can review your LLP's circumstances to determine eligibility and assist with the preparation and filing of micro-entity accounts if appropriate.
If your accounting records are incomplete, we can still help. We will let you know exactly what information is missing and provide practical guidance on how to gather it. In some cases, we may recommend bookkeeping support to bring your records up to date before preparing the accounts.
Getting started is simple. Contact us via our website or phone to discuss your company's situation. We will confirm whether you are likely to qualify for micro-entity accounts and explain our fixed-fee pricing. Once you provide the necessary information and approve the accounts, we will handle the filing with Companies House and assist with any HMRC requirements.
