I highly recommend Imran to anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable accountant. He helped me sort out a very complicated backlog of accounts and prepared my overdue tax returns with professionalism and attention to detail. Throughout the process, he was incredibly patient, took the time to answer all of my questions, and explained everything clearly. He guided me through each step and helped rectify issues that had built up over time, making what felt like an overwhelming situation much more manageable. I'm very pleased with the service I've received and truly appreciate his support. If you need help with your accounts or taxes, I would highly recommend Imran.Posted on Google![]()

We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we’re really glad we did. Their team is great. Abdul is responsive and easy to reach whenever I have a question, which makes a big difference. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. They are very knowledgeable, and when they don’t have the answer straight away, they take the time to look into it and get back to us quickly. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing. She is professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. She's also very quickin getting back to us whenever needed. We’re very happy to work with her and hope to continue doing so for as long as possible. Overall, Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.Posted on Google![]()

I have really impressed to date with all dealings with Accotax highly enough. From day one, they've made what can often be a complicated and stressful part of running a business feel straightforward and hassle-free. A special mention has to go to Anum, who has been friendly, incredibly responsive, and genuinely cares about providing the best possible service. No question is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything is dealt with efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an accountant they can genuinely trust.Posted on Google![]()

Confirmation Statement Requirements
Every UK limited company and LLP must confirm the information on the public register each year, even where nothing has changed and the company is not trading.
Filing Deadline
If your company pays even one director a salary, you must operate PAYE and file RTI submissions with HMRC.
Company Information
Once any employee earns above the Lower Earnings Limit, RTI payroll filing becomes a legal obligation each pay period.
People & Shares
Every company must file a confirmation statement at least once in each 12-month review period, within 14 days of the review period ending.

Which UK Companies Need to File a Confirmation Statement?
Most UK companies registered at Companies House need to file a confirmation statement, whether they are actively trading, dormant, or simply not trading at the moment. The confirmation statement is about the information Companies House holds on your company record, not about your profits, losses or tax position, so it sits alongside — and is completely separate from — annual accounts and a Corporation Tax Return.
- Limited companies registered in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
- Dormant companies that are not trading or receiving income
- Non-trading companies with no activity in the review period
- Companies limited by guarantee
- Limited liability partnerships where a confirmation statement is due
- Directors who would rather have the filing reviewed and submitted on their behalf

What Is a Confirmation Statement, and What Does It Do?
A confirmation statement is the filing a company uses to confirm that the information Companies House holds about it is accurate and up to date. It is not a set of accounts and it is not a tax return. It is a check that the register reflects reality — and where something has changed, the relevant details usually need to be reported to Companies House separately, rather than simply noted on the confirmation statement.
- The registered office address and the company's registered name
- Directors, secretaries and their service addresses
- Shareholders, share capital and the details of shares held
- People with significant control (PSCs) and their registrable details
- Standard industrial classification (SIC) codes describing what the company does
- The statement of lawful purpose and other applicable company information
- Confirmation that details are correct — separate from annual accounts and a Corporation Tax Return

─── FAQs
Your Questions, Answered
Common questions about our confirmation statement filing service, deadlines and what Companies House requires.
A confirmation statement is a filing made to Companies House that confirms the information held about your company on the public register is accurate and up to date. It is often referred to as a CS01, which is the form used for the submission. It is not a financial document — it does not report profit, loss, turnover or tax, and it is entirely separate from your statutory accounts and your Corporation Tax Return.
Any UK company registered at Companies House, whether it is based in Monmouth or elsewhere, normally needs to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months. That includes companies that are actively trading, companies that are dormant, and companies that are simply not trading at present. Limited liability partnerships also have confirmation statement obligations. If you are unsure whether your company is due to file, the information held on your Companies House record will show the relevant review period.
UK companies generally need to file a confirmation statement at least once every 12 months, counted from the end of the previous review period shown on your Companies House record. That 12-month cycle is a filing requirement in its own right and should not be confused with your accounting period or your annual accounts deadline, which follow a different timetable. If your company circumstances change, you can also file more than one confirmation statement within a review period.
Yes. A company can file additional confirmation statements within the same review period when something changes and you want the register brought up to date sooner rather than waiting. Some changes, however, must be reported to Companies House separately as they happen — for example certain changes to directors, the registered office address or share capital. A confirmation statement service can help you work out which changes need their own notification and which can be captured through the confirmation statement.
Before submitting, it is worth checking the key details Companies House holds: the registered office address, the company name, the directors and secretary, the shareholders and share capital, your people with significant control (PSC) details, and your SIC codes. You should also confirm the statement of lawful purpose where applicable. If any of these have changed, the change may need to be reported separately rather than simply acknowledged on the confirmation statement.
In most cases, yes. Being dormant or not trading does not normally remove the requirement to file a confirmation statement, because the filing confirms the accuracy of the company's register information rather than reporting trading activity. A dormant company may still need to file statutory accounts and will still have separate tax obligations where applicable. Filing a confirmation statement is not, by itself, confirmation that the company is compliant with every Companies House or tax requirement.
A confirmation statement confirms that the information on the Companies House register is correct. Annual accounts, by contrast, report the company's financial position and performance for an accounting period and are filed with the financial information Companies House expects. The two are separate filings with separate deadlines and separate purposes — submitting a confirmation statement has no bearing on your accounts deadline, and filing accounts does not satisfy your confirmation statement obligation.
A confirmation statement goes to Companies House and concerns the accuracy of company register information. A Corporation Tax Return (often called a CT600) goes to HMRC and concerns the company's taxable profits, allowances and tax position. They are handled by different bodies, on different timescales, and for different purposes. Filing one does not fulfil the requirement for the other.
If a confirmation statement is not filed when due, Companies House can take action against the company. That can include penalties and, in more serious cases, steps towards striking the company off the register. The exact consequences depend on the company's circumstances and its filing history. The practical point is that it is far easier to keep the record up to date than to sort out a missed or overdue submission after the event.
With a professional service, you share the relevant company information and any changes since the last review period. The details are checked against what Companies House currently holds, anything that looks out of date is flagged, and the confirmation statement submission is prepared and filed on your behalf. You receive clear confirmation that the filing has been made, together with straightforward guidance if a change needs its own separate notification. Pricing is set out clearly in advance, with fixed-fee options available, so there are no surprises.
Getting started is straightforward. Simply get in touch with your company name and, if you have it, your Companies House number and authentication code, along with the details of anything that has changed since your last review period. Micro Entity Accounts will confirm what is needed, handle the Confirmation Statement Filing and let you know when it is done. If you also need help with Companies House information updates, that can be arranged at the same time.
